Rules[/color]
1) No Godmoding, Powerplaying, Character Killing, or the like. Any roleplay fighting, I would also request, be taken OUTSIDE the castle. (See setting for more details.)
2) No flaming. If you have an argument with another player, take it to PM.
Setting
The setting of this roleplay is MEDIEVAL / FANTASY. This means, please, no high-tech equipment, guns, or anything of that nature. Accepted weaponry is swords, daggers, magic (to an extent), bows and arrows, etc.
It's a masquerade ball; your character will be is a costume, one which is demonstrated by my character below. (See My Character for more details).
It's in a castle, at night. When we start, it'll be somewhere around 10:30pm. Around the front of the castle there's a large courtyard, with a driveway for carriages and horses. The castle, of course, is set on acres of land.
When you enter the castle, it's through large double doors. There's a short hallway which leads into a large, decadent ballroom, brightly lit and well decorated. Set up at the far end is a band, playing music. Along the walls are seats, the line of them only being disrupted by a large pair of doors which are flung open, revealing a night-time garden past them.
Along the far wall is a table with drinks and small snacks on them. Doors in this hall lead off into other parts of the castle; hallways leading to rooms, the kitchens, etc. Most of these are locked, or restricted.
Couples sweep elegantly around the dance floor, some people simply wandering through them.
All fights are to be taken out the front doors, to the driveway area.
Characters
Characters only have a few requirements.
1) Medieval era characters only; no cyborgs, etc. Also, all characters must be original. You can't play Ed from FMA, or Serena from Sailor Moon.
2) They can be of basically any race, made-up or not, as long as it's fantasy.
3) Your profile must follow the same format as mine; be as descriptive as possible. (Pictures are wonderful! =D)

My Profile[/b]
Name: Keira Langston
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Species: Blood Halian
Physical Description: Keira has dressed up especially for this night; her costume being an elaborate one. To match with her snow-white skin, and red markings, her dress is themed in red, black and gold.
Her dress falls smoothly around her shapely form; lithe and graceful; and opens in the front, low enough not to be insulting.
Strapped around her forehead is a royal-looking horn, almost like a unicorn's. Her rich, brown hair falls in pretty waves around a proud face.

History: Kiera represents the royalty of the Blood Halian race; she's been raised in the harsh fort environment of her home in the east. Groomed to become Queen after her father dies, she's a very regal, very strong person in herself. She's pleasant enough, even humorously charming, but can be quick to anger if insulted. She was sent to the masquerade to be a good representation of their species, as in the past, Blood Helians have been connected to many massacres and murders.
Weapons: One dagger strapped to the back of her left leg.
Magic: Blood Helians all have their own form of magic. They can heal MINOR wounds (and we're talking very minor; deep cuts at best), USUALLY tell if a person is lying to them, and also can see if a person is afraid or not.
Opening Post[/b]
. Keira lightly stepped out of the dark, almost menacing carriage, letting go of the hand of her steward quickly. Dark eyes wandered upwards to the large, whitewashed stone castle walls, her gaze travelling over towards and turrents, and eventually ending up at the brightly lit, night sky. Stars were spread across the black-blue clothe like speckles of concentrated light.
. Her eyes fell forwards once more, and she moved up the long series of steps to the front doors which were open, inviting guests inside. Her shoes made sharp, clicking sounds on the marble floors as she proceeded inside, her gaze roving once more as she took in the details of a castle much brighter then her home. Beautiful paintings and artwork called to her, but she had to ignore them; it wouldn't be proper for her to stop and gawk at the scenery if she was expected inside the ballroom.
. As she entered she heard her named blared loudly by yet another steward at the door to the ballroom; at once time such a loud exclamation made her wince, but now she took the announcement in stride.
. Couples danced with amazing grace and beauty around the huge dance floor. Almost all races were represented here; elves and dark elves, dwarves, humans, halflings, mages, the people of the dragons, and she maybe even saw what seemed to be a few vampires. Of course, there were many other races; she did not have the attention span to name them all in her head, and it would've been a difficult task for her.
. Taking a deep breath she cocked her head upwards, reassuming her proud stance, meant to impress, as she made her way down the stairs into the sea of dancing couples. This was meant to be her first political outing, and she better make a good impression. She was here to prove something, not just for herself.. but for her race.
