(( So, as you can obviously see, I’ve come to put my own twist on the already abundant vampire roleplays and to add to this websites growing collection. The only rules I basically have for this roleplay are pretty bare;
No godmoding, powerplaying, etc. No invincible characters. We’re playing by Anne Rice Vampire rules which are as follows (as quoted from Wiki);
Anne Rice's vampires are different in several ways from classic vampires like Dracula. Rice's creatures are not affected by the usual weapons against classic vampires: garlic, crosses, and they cannot be killed with wooden stakes.
They need blood, but in some cases not every night. Human blood is preferred as it is more nutritious, but animal blood can also be drunk. They do not age physically (instead becoming more "statuesque" as they age, developing very smooth, white skin), and in all but a few cases, vampires younger than a thousand years old can usually be killed by exposure to sunlight or fire.
They do not possess stereotypically "vampiric" magical powers, such as changing into bats or casting spells, but some of the stronger, older ones do have the power to fly. Most of them also have the power to read the thoughts of mortals and weaker vampires. They have other physical abilities: they can move very quickly (faster than human eyes can see), and possess great strength and extremely keen senses. Very old vampires or ones who have been made or strengthened by feeding on blood that is close to the root of the vampiric mother may have additional gifts like the ability to move matter with the mind and the ability to set things ablaze by the force of will. They have many artistic talents, like singing, painting and acting, and a preternatural "understanding" of any type of problem, puzzle or machine. They also have the uncanny ability to almost perfectly mimic anything (movement, playing musical instruments, etc.).
Also, Slayers and mortals WELCOME, just remember that the title DOES say VAMPIRE. I find it odd how slayers and mortals can end up out-balancing vampires in their own roleplays. SO I’M DONE RAMBLING. ))
The woman wandered the lonely street quietly, her hand trailing along the chain link fence of a long abandoned lot. An old park, she believed. The twisted pieces of indiscernible metal that lay motionless within the large square, grass obstructing much of them from view, seemed to hit a note with the women. Striking eyes were turned towards a clear sky now, most of the stars drowned out by the city lights. She sighed slightly an idol thought that she should take a trip to the country sometime soon passing through her mind. She'd like to see those billions of stars in all their clarity once more. Those eyes that stared at the sky were a deep shade of amber, red tinting the outline of her pupil before blending into the other lighter facet of colour. She'd fed tonight, earlier, before starting her walk. She brushed long, wavy hair back from an almost porcelain face, a face much too beautiful, much too perfect. She was almost like a doll.
"A doll.." The words whispered past her lips, an Italian accent twisting through them as she mulled that thought over.
"How appropriate." She grinned at her own absurdity.
"Not that appropriate, you're not so fragile." A deep voice purred from behind Alexia; for that was infact her name, short for Alexandria.
"What do you want Gabriel?" The name rolled off her tongue like a stone; dead weight, as she turned to face a very good-looking man. His hair was a platinum blonde colour, slightly long and shaggy on top of his head. It had a mussed up look, like he'd just rolled out of bed. He flashed a pair of fangs at her in a smile, his eyes sparkling at the fanged grimace he received in return.
"To annoy you to insanity, of course." He said lightly.
"What else?" He stated this as though it was the obvious answer, and to tell the truth, it was.
"Well then, Gabriel," Alexia said curtly.
"Leave me be then. I'm not in the mood." She turned away from him and began walking more briskly. Her red turtleneck sweater shielded her from the slight breeze, and dissolved into a pair of clingy black jeans. Her black, high-heeled boots made an echoed clicking sound on the sidewalk.
"Aww, but love, you know that I'm stuck with you. Have been for a long time." Gabriel followed after her, his own blue eyes still sparkling. The ring of red around his pupils was much larger; he'd fed very recently. And there was not a speck of blood on his black t-shirt, or dark denim jeans though. He was a neat man, if not boisterous and annoying at times. He prided himself very much in his good looks.
